Learn, baby, learn
The Oregon Coast Learning Institute will offer a preview of its fall term presentations at an open house on Tuesday, April 19, at the Chapel by the Sea in Lincoln City.
The group is alive and well after a two-year recess that protected its mostly retired and potentially vulnerable members from the pandemic. A full schedule of educational programs will start in September.
The open house creates an opportunity for new and long-standing members to meet each other and to see the new location chosen for the fall sessions.
“We recognize that the social aspect of OCLI meetings is as important as the great topics being presented each time,” Board President Ric Neese said.
Because of the age of most of the group’s members, proof of vaccinations will be required at the door, but the wearing of masks will be optional in the well-ventilated fellowship hall.
OCLI is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization made up of those who wish to continue their intellectual interests in an atmosphere of shared learning.
The open house begins at 10 am. Chapel by the Sea is located at 2125 SE Lee Avenue in Lincoln City. For more information, call Ric at 541-994-4810 or Paul at 541-265-8023.
