A patch work solution

Welcome in the Halloween season at the Kilchis River Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze, open each weekend in October beginning this Saturday, Oct. 1.

Hosted at the family-owned and operated Hydrangea Ranch, the patch is filled with thousands of u-pick pumpkins grown on the farm, including specialty bi-colored and unconventionally shaped pumpkins and gourds. They are priced according to size and include a hay ride around the farm. The pumpkin patch also has multiple sets decorated to make great backgrounds for photos.

The five-acre corn maze is the largest on the Oregon Coast. It has a unique design, with miles of trails, and includes a kids’ maze. Admission is $8.

Enter, if you dare, during the "Maze of Murder" haunted nights in the corn maze, Friday and Saturday, Oct. 28 and 29, from dusk to 10 pm. Admission is $12. As this is a “fright night,” entry is advised only for people aged 13 and older.

The patch will be open each weekend of October on Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 5 pm. The Kilchis River Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze is located at the Hydrangea Ranch, 9455 Kilchis River Road in Tillamook.
