A pressing engagement

Celebrate the harvest season with the Oregon Coast community at Neskowin Valley School’s 42nd Annual Harvest Festival, taking place at the school this Saturday, Oct. 5.

This celebration of the harvest season will feature live music, local vendors, the Bakery Cafe, raffle prizes, the ever-popular cider press, activities for kids and more. This annual fund-raiser draws hundreds of locals, visitors and families who gather and celebrate the community and raise funds for the school.

For 50 years, NVS students have benefited from small class sizes, integrated individualized education, multi-age classes and experiential learning that immerses students in the natural areas of the Oregon Coast. The Harvest Festival will kick off the inaugural “Fall Giving Campaign — You Belong” this year.

If you wander the halls of the school, you will see displays of students' art and science projects, which they will proudly tell you all about.

The festival runs from 11 am to 5:30 pm at Neskowin Valley School, located at 10005 Slab Creek Road. For more information, go to neskowinvalleyschool.com.
