All aboard

Freshly wrapped with iconic art and ready to roll, the Oregon Coast Art Bus will make a stop at the North Lincoln County Historical Museum this Friday, Aug. 26. The outdoor Art at the Museum event will feature a variety of creative learning projects for kids and families.There will also be other fun artistic opportunities created by the museum, like painting stations and free copies of the Pixie Coloring Book, created from art by museum volunteer Connie Owston who recreated the Pixie Kitchen’s famous Pixie Garden. The Pixie Kitchen was a family restaurant that opened in the 1950s and closed in the 1980s and was known for its entertaining atmosphere and quirky design features.Families will also be encouraged to go inside the museum and visit the newly renovated Mildred and Marie Children’s Room.Art at the Museum will run from 11 am to 2 pm at the North Lincoln County Historical Museum, located at 4907 SW Hwy. 101 in Lincoln City.
