Beer or bust at Beachcrest

Help fight breast cancer by eating pizza and drinking beer? Yes, please.

On Wednesday, Oct. 26, 50 percent of all sales at Beachcrest Brewing in the Marketplace at Salishan will go to support the fund-raising efforts of the Coast Busters Walk for Breast Cancer.

The Coast Busters began with two women who strove to inspire hope for women struggling with breast cancer and their families. Recent survivors Sonia Graham and Jeanette Campagna, adopting the motto that something good can certainly come from something bad, held a three-mile walk in October 2021. It was such a success, they turned the walk into an annual event. Roughly $25,000 has been collected so far through registrations, sponsorships and donations.

Proceeds will benefit Pacific Communities Health District Foundation Women’s Cancer Fund and the Willamette Valley Cancer Foundation and be earmarked for Lincoln County breast cancer patients.

Can’t make it to the brewery but still want to help? In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, donations will be accepted through the end of October at coastbusterswalk.com.

The fund-raiser will take place from noon to 8 pm. Beachcrest Brewing is located in the Marketplace at Salishan, 7755 Hwy. 101. For more information, go to beachcrestbrewing.com or call 541-234-4013.
