Business leaders with the XX factor

As we near the end of Women's History Month, the Newport Chamber of Commerce is offering the chance to spend a few engaging hours with influential, female business leaders.

Taking place at The Pacific Maritime and Heritage Center on Wednesday, March 30, “Women in Business Unplugged” will feature prominent local businesswomen, sharing their wisdom and candid stories about the journeys that led to their current positions.

Featured speakers are Laura Anderson, owner of Local Ocean Seafoods; Kaety Jacobson, Lincoln County commissioner; Carrie Lewis, president/CEO of the Oregon Coast Aquarium; Ursula Marinelli, executive director of Pacific Communities Health District Foundation; and Lesley Ogden, chief executive officer of Samaritan North Lincoln Hospital and Samaritan Pacific Communities Hospital.

Jalene Case, owner of Jalene Case Coaching and Consulting, will serve as the emcee.

The event begins at 3 pm with the interviews and stories, followed at 4:30 pm with a question and answer period, then ending with a “Happiness Hour” for refreshments and networking from 5 to 6 pm.

The Pacific Maritime and Heritage Center is located at 333 SE Bay Blvd in Newport. For more Information, go to newportchamber.org or call 541-265-8801.
