You won’t want to lash yourself to the mast and risk missing the alluring song as “Sirens of the Deep” takes to the stage in Newport this Saturday, Feb. 26.

You’ll have thrills, as the specially chosen pearls from the Northwest burlesque scene, strung together by Newport’s own Dixie DeLish, come together in a night of titillating burlesque entertainment with a salty seafaring theme.

You’ll have chills, as emcee and entertainer Captain Molotov showcases his world-famous impalement act with the dazzling DeLish by his side.

And you’ll have frills, as the event is being held at the Primaltones Venue, serving local microbrews and cider on tap, a fine selection of wine, hard seltzers, light beers and non-alcoholic options, and food service by Mollie's Cafe. The covered, outdoor social area will open with the welcoming warmth of the fire pit.

When DeLish puts down her boa, she goes by Rebecca Sinnhuber, owner of Passionflower Fitness, where she teaches a variety of fitness classes, including burlesque performance.

“Americana Mayhem and Passionflower Fitness are joining forces in partnership with Primaltones to bring you a night of strip tease and exciting carnival-style performances,” Sinnhuber said.

The tantalizing talent includes internationally awarded showgirl and pinup Holly Dai: burlesque and transformative dancer Eva D’Luscious: hoop dancer and performance artist Melody Kay; and budding burlesque babe Veta Bakhtina.

“These sirens will take your desires on an extraordinary journey,” Sinnhuber said, “from which you may never want to return.”

With its velvet curtains and red walls, Primaltones is the perfect venue to create a romantic and sensual atmosphere in which to enjoy the classic art of burlesque.

And don’t forget to come with doubloons to tip the sirens, just to be on the safe side.

And should you hear their call and want to join them, Sinnhuber has you covered.

“If you want to learn the art of burlesque after enjoying the show, join our upcoming ‘Burlesque Bootycamp,’” she said. “It will be six weeks of fun and a great workout, and at the end, you just might find yourself ready to be in our next live performance.”

“Sirens of the Deep” will have two shows: a seated VIP performance from 7 to 8 pm, with tickets $45 apiece; and a general-admission show from 10 to 11 pm, with a dance party to follow, with tickets priced at $30.

This is a 21-and-over event.

Primaltones Venue is located at 2925 SE Ferry Slip Road in South Beach. For more information about the show or Passionflower fitness, go to passionflowerfitness.com.
