Arcoíris Cultural, an Olalla Center program, will host the second edition of the Olalla Cultural Fest this Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Newport Performing Arts Center. The event will feature local performers like the Herencia Mexicana dance troupe, bluegrass Americana band Lucky Gap and didgeridoo artist Tyler Spencer. Ceili of the Valley of Salem, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and perpetuating Celtic heritage and culture, will be performing Irish music and dancing.

Latitudes Ensemble will present a program of folk music from various Latin American countries, performed using a wide variety of authentic musical instruments.

The fest will also feature local artisans like textile artist and weaver Abelina Pablo.

Lincoln County Public Health will provide informational resources and COVID-19 vaccines and booster shots. Other community organizations in attendance will include Parenting Resources Network, Newport Public Library, Oregon Más Saludable and many more.

There will also be free food and drinks, a raffle drawing with fun prizes and other activities for the whole family.

The non-profit Olalla Center has provided mental health and community services in Lincoln County since 1978. Arcoíris Cultural focuses on celebrating and supporting the underserved Latino, Guatemalan and indigenous populations.
