Focus on photography

An impressive 21 members are displaying their talents at the 40th Yaquina Art Association Photographers annual show, on view at Newport’s Yaquina Art Gallery through Friday April 26.

Participating photographers are: Andree Devine, Beverly Peterson, Dave Cook, Deborah Marsh, Debora Veronneau, Evelyn Sterud, Graece Gabriel, George Meyer, Herb Kateley, Ilene Samowitz, John Culp, John Lavrakas, Josephine Allen, Kim Cuc Tran, Mark Svendsen, Michael Carr, Sheila Ping, Sylvia A. Hosie, Ted Crego, Wallace Kaufman and Walter Duvall.

The club's mission is “to encourage and help members to share, teach, learn and grow as photographers” and it offers the fellowship of photographers, promotes education, personal growth and the enjoyment of photography.

Meetings are held twice per month and the club also hosts special programs and events at the OSU Extension Office.
