Chinook Winds Casino Resort is celebrating 28 years in business with four fun-filled days from Thursday, June 22, through Sunday, June 25. The celebration includes fireworks, a headline show with Larry the Cable Guy, anniversary cupcakes and a special drop of 28 glass floats by the Lincoln City Float Fairies. The massive fireworks display on Saturday night will start at approximately 10 pm. The fireworks tradition is one that guests from all over Oregon have enjoyed for more than 22 years. Guests can enjoy cupcakes Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 3 pm while supplies last.
The hilarious Larry the Cable Guy is performing both Thursday and Friday nights. Larry is a multi-platinum recording artist, Grammy nominee, Billboard award winner and one of the top comedians in the country. He has his own line of merchandise and continues to perform on national tours. His Git-R-Done Foundation, which was named after Larry’s signature catchphrase, has donated more than seven million dollars to various charities. His special, “Remain Seated,” is currently streaming on Netflix. The album of the same name was released in April 2020. On the hit FOX show “The Masked Singer,” he showed off his vocal talents as the character Baby. He reprised the role of Mater for the new Disney+ series “Cars on the Road,” which is currently streaming. Larry has won Billboard’s 2005 Comedy Artist of the year and Comedy Album of the year and he received the Billboard Top Comedy Tour Award in 2006. His 2005 book “Git-R-Done, debuted at # 26 on the New York Times bestseller list. Larry was named to Forbes Celebrity 100 list in 2006, 2007, 2011 and 2012.
The shows begin at 8 pm. Tickets are $75 to $90.
