Hang out at the Festival of Trees
The holiday season will be in full swing in Lincoln City this weekend when the Festival of Trees opens for public viewing at Chinook Winds Casino Resort.
The display of 22 wonderfully decorated Christmas trees and 10 wreaths will be available to view from noon to 8 pm on Thursday and Friday, Dec. 1 and 2, and from 10 am to 3 pm on Saturday, Dec. 3.
Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive straight from the North Pole to make a pre-Christmas appearance for photos and Christmas requests from 5 to 8 pm on Friday.
The often-outlandishly decorated trees and wreaths are auctioned off each year at the Angels Ball, the main fundraiser for Angels Anonymous.
The nonprofit group raises funds to provide immediate assistance for basic needs to residents of North Lincoln County from Depoe Bay north to Rose Lodge. COVID 19 and the Echo Mountain Fire greatly increased the need for assistance in North Lincoln County in 2020 and 2021.
This year’s Angels Ball is set for Saturday, Dec. 3, with doors opening at 5 pm. Tickets to the ball are $125 per person or $1,000 for a table of eight. For details, go to angels-anonymous.org.
