Invest some time in David Roth
David Roth is returning to the Central Oregon Coast for his 21st annual concert, to be held at the Istanbul Rug Bazaar in downtown Cloverdale this Sunday, April 14.
Roth’s songs have found their way to Carnegie Hall, the United Nations, several “Chicken Soup for the Soul” books, the Kennedy Center and even NASA’s space shuttle Atlantis. His work has appeared on albums by Peter, Paul, & Mary and Kingston Trio as well as the “Rise Up Singing” and “Rise Again” songbooks.
He has also published 14 albums of his own and is the recipient of five Positive Music awards.
Once again, opening the show will be Fred Bassett and Sonya Kazen. Oregon coast singer-songwriters with decades of musical and life experiences behind them, Bassett and Kazen have created a catalog of unique story songs. Their music runs the gamut of acoustic styles: folk, blues, Americana, bluegrass and country. Emotive vocals and tight harmonies, accompanied by guitars, banjo, ukulele and keyboards make every performance by the duo a fun and inspiring musical experience.
After 10 years of performing together, the duo has produced an album of 14 original songs that will be introduced at the concert.
The concert begins at 6 pm at the Istanbul Rug Bazaar, located at 34390 Hwy. 101 in downtown Cloverdale.
