Hello, gourd-geous

Whether you prefer a perfect pumpkin or are the type that brings home that slightly misshapen one that you didn’t want to be sad because it didn’t get picked, you have options galore for Halloween gourds this year at the Kilchis River Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze.

Starting on Saturday, Oct. 3, and continuing weekends through Sunday, Oct. 25, the Hydrangea Ranch just outside Tillamook will offer some wholesome family fun. Pick your pumpkin or specialty gourd from thousands of options and try not to get lost in the largest corn maze on the Oregon coast. Jump aboard the hayride (masks required) for a short tour around the farm.

The Kilchis River Pumpkin Patch and Corn Maze is open from noon until 5 pm.

The corn maze will go “haunted” on October 23 and 24 from dusk ‘til 10 pm. Fifty percent of ticket sales from the haunted nights will be donated to a local, yet-to-be-determined, non-profit.

Entry for the five-acre corn maze is $7, the Kids Maze (for younger children) is $3 and the Haunted Maze is $10. Pumpkins are priced according to size.

The patch is also available for rent for company parties, customer appreciation or other events. For more information, call 503-815-3762.

The Kilchis River Pumpkin Patch is located at 9455 Kilchis River Road.
