Needles never felt so good

When the fiber arts studio opened in its new, larger space on the main floor of the Lincoln City Cultural Center, one of the goals of the guild was to use the space to host classes.

That dream is now realized, and “adventurous beginners and intermediate learners” can sign up now for the new Needle Felting Class on Wednesday, Sept. 1.

Instructor Shanna Suttner will lead participants, ages 12 and up, through the basics of needle felting by creating a small felted house. Skills learned can be expanded to animals, sculptures, art work, clothing and more.

The fee is $90 plus a $15 materials fee, 10 am to 4 pm.

The new Fiber Arts Studio Gallery is located inside the Lincoln City Cultural Center at 540 NE Hwy. 101, open Thursday through Sunday from 10 am to 4 pm.
