North Pole bazaar is pretty cool

Pacific City’s Kiawanda Community Center will magically transform into the North Pole for the annual Holiday Bazaar this Saturday, Dec. 3.

Building on last year’s successful event, this year’s bazaar will feature more than two dozen vendors from up and down the Oregon Coast, offering locally-made items including paintings, ceramics, greeting cards, holiday decorations, jewelry, bird houses, gourmet food, wooden items, accessories, beauty products and children’s toys and clothes.

Fund-raising efforts will include a gift basket raffle by the Cloverdale Nestucca Valley Lions Club and hand-crafted wreaths and hot lunch options from community center volunteers and board members.

In true Pacific City style, “Captain Santa” will arrive in a holiday-themed Dory boat. He will arrive at noon and will be available to hear holiday wishes and pose for photos.

The bazaar will run from 9 am to 4 pm at the Kiawanda Community Center, located at 34600 Cape Kiwanda Drive in Pacific City. For more information, email kiawandacc@gmail.com or call 503-965-7900.
