On the trail of fun
Join Trailkeepers of Oregon and help put the finishing touches to the tsunami evacuation route from Nehalem State Park, this Friday, April 16.
This will be a fun and rewarding day of raking and mulching that will end with a children's story.
Safety and fun are prioritized over quantity of work accomplished, so working at your own pace is encouraged.
No experience is necessary — you'll be working with experienced crew leaders who will teach you all you need to know.
Participants should bring plenty of water, work gloves, snacks and lunch, and wear hiking boots or other closed-toed footwear that will protect feet from nails or the sharp end of tools. Clothes layering and raingear are also recommended regardless of the weather report. Hard hats and safety glasses, disinfected regularly, will be provided.
The work part will run from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm the main parking area, located at 9500 Sandpiper Lane. For more information, go to www.trailkeepersoforegon.org.
