Pie’ll be there for you

Help a Tillamook-area non-profit take a slice out of food insecurity while scoring tasty handmade pies at the Food Roots Annual Pie Night on Saturday, Nov. 19.

After two years of hosting the event virtually, Food Roots is throwing an in-person pie-party at Pacific Restaurant with live music from the Oak Bottom Boys, a beer and wine social hour, a pie feast dinner with dessert and live auctioneering.

All sales are tax-deductible and will help support Food Roots’ programs and long-time work to create a vibrant local food system on Oregon’s North Coast.

Tasty pie options range from savory, dessert, gluten-free and vegan. Choose from nearly 100 options like caramel rose apple, gluten-free cranberry walnut tart or chocolate peanut butter and longtime favorites like apple, strawberry rhubarb, pumpkin and chicken pot pie.

Bakers include Pacific Restaurant, The Schooner, Grateful Bread Bakery, The Salmonberry Saloon and many more.

Doors open at 5:30 pm. Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for kids. Pacific Restaurant is located at 205 Main Avenue in Tillamook. For more information, go to foodrootsnw.org/pie.
