She’s the wheel deal

The Artists' Studio Alliance in Lincoln City has pieced together a great show of work by September featured artist, Rosemary Wood-Hemm.

A Yorkshire-born mosaic artist and photographer, Wood-Hemm moved from England to Boston in 1986, then Los Angeles where she worked as a newborn care consultant. She studied film photography at UCLA, then later used her skills to photograph her clients’ children. In 2008, she and her husband moved to the Oregon Coast to open a bed and breakfast in Oceanside where she also sold her art.

For more than 20 years, Wood-Hemm has crafted mosaics in her home studio, at the Pacific Artist's Co-Op and in the ASA Beachstone Gallery in Lincoln City. She also teaches mosaic classes.

The gallery is located at 620 Hwy. 101 in Lincoln City. For more information, go to asaart.clubexpress.com.
