Staging the perfect Thanksgiving

Does the idea of skipping the cooking and clean-up of a rich, multi-course Thanksgiving meal sound appealing?

Enjoy a deliciously inventive Thanksgiving dinner at Sorella in Nye Beach prepared by Chef William Webster on Thanksgiving night, Thursday, Nov. 24, all while supporting the arts.

All proceeds from the dinner will go to support Phase VII of the Newport Performing Arts Center’s capital campaign, which includes upgrades to the David Ogden Stiers black box theater and redesigned, upgraded backstage support areas for artists.

“I have always appreciated opportunities to bring the community together,” Webster said. “I used to do a New Year's Eve event but I felt that this would be a great opportunity to give people a way to be decadent for the holiday and also support a great cause.”

Guests can choose from either a four-course dine-in meal at Sorella for $65 or a three-course meal that they can take out and enjoy at home for $40.

“When I first moved to this town, I was really fortunate to be introduced to the incredible theater community at the Newport Performing Arts Center,” Webster said. “It's given me a home and a place to express myself as it does for so many others in our community.”
