While pandemic precautions have prompted some changes in the Celebration of Honor at Lincoln City’s Chinook Winds Casino Resort, the show will go on. The comedy show that is.

Along with community events like special red-white-and-blue floats hidden along the beaches in Lincoln City, veterans can get two free tickets for the Thursday, Sept. 16, Comedy at the Coast show, featuring comedians PJ Walsh, Jeff Capri and Katie Robinson. The comedy show starts at 9 pm.

Now in its 18th year, the Celebration of Honor recognizes active-duty personnel, military veterans and their families.

This year’s celebration will include vintage and current day military vehicles, displayed and provided by the American Infantry Soldier Group, as well as military flags on display for safe outdoor viewing through Saturday, Sept. 18.

Also on Saturday, the Lincoln City Kiwanis Parade of Flags will line the streets of Lincoln City.

Chinook Winds Casino Resort, owned and operated by the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, is located at 1777 NW 44th Street in Lincoln City. For more information, go to chinookwindscasino.com.
