We’re sew glad she could come

Hegira, the magnificent fiber hunchback whale that has been cruising on the wall at the Fiber Arts Studio Gallery in Lincoln City, welcomes back her creator. Christina Harkenss, for a day of fun and creativity this Saturday, Dec. 11.

Harkenss will bring other fiber friends like Ishmael, the giant squid, and lead a day of knitting, crocheting, mentoring and sharing for the Community Fiber Coral Reef Project from 10 am to 4 pm.

She will share patterns, experiences, inspiration and yarns and invites you to become part of something wonderful by contributing fiber coral and other sea life.

All experience levels are welcome.

Located inside the studio is the Fiber Artisans’ Market, featuring wearables, hangables, giftables, usables and treasures from more than 25 regional professional fiber artists.

The Fiber Arts Studio Gallery is located inside the Lincoln City Cultural Center at 540 NE Hwy. 101. For more information, go to lincolncity-culturalcenter.org.
