You red that right: Inhouse Jazz is back

INHOUSE Jazz will continue the 2023 Season with a concert hosted by vocalist Annie Averre and presenting featured duo and INHOUSE favorites: vocalist Heather Keizur and pianist Steve Christofferson this Sunday, Aug. 13.

Keizur, who sings in both English and French, is emerging as one of the most unique and gifted singers on the Northwest jazz scene. Shades of Dalida, Ella Fitzgerald, Nat King Cole and Henri Salvador can be found in her renditions of the Great American Songbook as she performs classic ballads, jazz standards and some authentic French chansons.

Christofferson has played the piano in nightclubs and jazz festivals internationally with Nancy King, toured Europe with the Alan Jones Sextet and performed with Kurt Elling, Jim Pepper, Karrin Allyson and many others. They formed a partnership in 2008, performing at jazz venues around the Northwest and as far away as New Orleans. They recently released their fourth CD “I Remember You,” a gorgeously conceived work featuring masterful interpretations of classic American songs.

INHOUSE Jazz, an official member of The Folk Alliance International, is an intimate house concert series presenting quality jazz artists on Sunday afternoons from 2:30 to 5:30 pm. For reservations, call 360-606-7136 or email aaverre@hotmail.com. Concert location is provided upon confirmation. Admission is free or by suggested donation of $15 to $30.
