Are you tide up this Friday?

Estuary Trivia Night will offer guests the chance to brush up on their environmental knowledge while supporting the Campaign for Oregon's Estuaries at the Taphouse at Nye Creek this Friday, Nov. 3.

This free, fun-filled evening of estuary-themed knowledge, community engagement and fun is sponsored by Oregon Shores Conservation Coalition.

Estuaries play a crucial role in mitigating the effects of climate change, making them a cornerstone of environmental conservation. Over the past year, the group has been deeply involved in strengthening the newly updated Yaquina Bay and Coos Bay Estuary Management Plans. Now, the group is turning its attention to the adoption process and promoting public participation in upcoming hearings.

The trivia night will raise awareness about this vital campaign and funds to support efforts to protect Oregon's estuaries.

Participants can form teams of up to six to test their knowledge and win exciting prizes. Guests will also have the opportunity to purchase art, merchandise and raffle tickets. One dollar of every pint sold during the evening will be donated to Oregon Shores.

The event begins at 6 pm at the Taphouse at Nye Creek, located at 515 NW Coast Street in Newport. For more information, go to oregonshores.org.
