It’s a-boat time

Don’t blow it by missing the ninth annual Devils Lake Neighborhood Association’s fireworks display and boat parade on Monday, July 3.

Western Fireworks will launch a spectacular show from a barge centrally located on the lake. The display will not be visible from Regatta Park, but Brown Bear State Park and Sandpoint Park should prove to be good locations to enjoy the show. And, of course, the most ideal viewing spots will be from boats, stand up paddleboards or other small watercraft. To maximize safety, a boat restriction zone will be established around the fireworks barge.

Before dark, there will still be things to see on the lake at the boat parade beginning in front of Regatta Park at 4 pm. Residents and visitors will deck their boats with patriotic decorations and take a lap around the lake to celebrate the holiday.

The fireworks display will begin at 9:30 pm. For more information, go to dlakeoregon.com.
