Meet her in Lincoln City

Marie Osmond brings her iconic sound to Chinook Winds Casino Resort

Determined not to be overshadowed by her famous singing brothers, Marie Osmond forged her own path at an early age, though she would soon appear as half of the popular “Donny & Marie'' show with brother Donny. At ages 18 and 16, Donnie and Marie were the youngest performers ever to host their own show.

The show celebrated their differences with, “I’m a Little Bit Country, I’m a Little Bit Rock and Roll,” a song that capitalized on her success on the country music charts. Marie had already distinguished herself at that point as one of the youngest singers to reach No. 1 on the Billboard country music charts with her hit song “Paper Roses” in 1973.

This Friday and Saturday, Sept. 9 and 10, the multiple gold- and platinum-selling artist will bring her live show to the stage at Chinook Winds Casino Resort in Lincoln City.

Marie has spent more than six decades in the entertainment business, performing not just as a successful singer and show host, but also a talk show host, dancer, actor, entrepreneur and public speaker.

She also has authored three New York Times bestselling books.

As a philanthropist, Marie co-founded Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, which has raised more than seven billion dollars for children to date. She was recently awarded The Secretary of Defense Medal for Outstanding Public Service by four-star General Bob Brown.

In 2019 the Hollywood Beauty Awards gave Marie the Timeless Beauty Award, which is an honor bestowed upon a public figure that has maintained their grace and remained a positive influence and role model to their fans throughout their career. That same year, Marie and Donny, who reunited for an 11-year residency at the Flamingo in Las Vegas, received the Key to the Las Vegas Strip and they cemented their legacy with a star on the Las Vegas Walk of Stars.

Marie was previously a co-host on the award-winning daytime show “The Talk” and has recently starred in three Lifetime Christmas movies: “The Road Home for Christmas” in 2019, “The Christmas Edition” in 2020 and most recently “A Fiancé for Christmas” in 2021.

Her Top 10 Billboard Magazine album “Music is Medicine” was the perfect set up for her latest studio album, “Unexpected,” which pushed her voice to remarkable heights and debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Classical Crossover Albums Chart following its release in December, 2021. Marie says she did it for the fans who allowed her to reach this high.

“Unexpected” is also dedicated to her father who encouraged Marie to follow her passion and sing every style of music she loved.

Both concerts begin at 8 pm and tickets are $55 to $70. Chinook Winds Casino Resort, owned and operated by the Confederated Tribes of Siletz Indians, is located at 1777 NW 44th Street in Lincoln City. For more information, go to chinookwinds.com or call 1-888-624-6228.
