Put your jazz hands together

Put your hands up, palms facing out. Now shake them back and forth quickly without moving your arms. You just made jazz hands. Now head to the Newport Performing Arts Center on Sunday, July 18, to see Mike Wofford and Holly Hofmann make jazz.

That’s right, live music is back at the PAC, and to celebrate, an afternoon of “America’s classical music'' will be performed as a benefit for the Oregon Coast Jazz Party.

The concert will feature pieces from the Great American Songbook, including the work of Cole Porter, George Gershwin, Harold Arlen and an alto flute tribute to the great Antonio Carlos Jobim.
