Sweet crib!

Those pesky Girl Scouts have left only a Thin Mint of space for others to excel at cookie sale fund-raisers, but you have Samoa opportunities to compete with the little go-getters and raise funds for a worthy cause.

The build your own gingerbread house event, a fund-raiser for Angels Anonymous sponsored by Lakeview Senior Living, still has spaces available.

“We have a limit of 20 entries and Girl Scout Troop #10143 has already claimed their entry spot,” said organizer Joy Wilson. “Our chef has also insisted we join in, so the spaces are shrinking.”

Build a house, castle, spaceship, lighthouses or whatever you can envision creating in an edible edifice.

Each creation will be shown off, then auctioned off, on Friday, Dec. 3, at the Lincoln City Chamber of Commerce Holiday Gala at the Lincoln City Cultural Center.

Entry forms are due on Nov. 22. There is a $25 entry fee, which is tax deductible.
