OCCT masks in a production of “Carnival”

The Oregon Coast Children's Theatre is offering free family art workshops and training for kids in both theater and fine arts from its new premises at the Fairview Grange in Tillamook.

Summer programs include sculptural ceramics on Monday, June 20 and July 11, and a combined ceramic/mosaic and production workshop on Monday, July 18, with the goal to build a new event sign for the Grange and Art Center.

Theater classes will also be offered on select Thursdays in July and August, open to students ages six through 18.

In preparation for the fall and winter holiday seasons, fine art workshops will include a series of mask-making workshops for a Halloween mask exhibit and building family altars for a Day of the Dead cultural festival in November. All supplies and classes are by donation.

The Fairview Grange is located at 5520 3rd Street in Tillamook. To register for both theater and art workshops, call Larry Adrian at 503-801-0603. For more information, go to oregoncoastchildrenstheatre.com.
