The suspense is over
A wildly popular audience participation movie since 1975, “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” will return to Lincoln City’s Bijou Theatre for another interactive performance this Saturday. Oct. 21.
"With the exception of the three years of the pandemic, we have invited the ‘shadow cast’ from the Clinton Street Theatre in Portland to perform in front of the screen everything that is on the screen,” Bijou owner Betsy Altomare said. “They bring props for themselves and for the audience to participate with as well. It is a wild time!”
The Clinton Street Theatre has the prestigious acclaim of having the longest continuous weekly run of “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.”
“When they are here on the coast they have an alternate cast that performs at their theater," Altomare said.
So, bring your rice, toast, newspaper and TP and join in the fun, but please leave the squirt guns, glitter and frankfurters at home.
Tickets are $15 in advance and $20 at the door. And, as always, bring a can of food as a donation for the Lincoln City Food Pantry.
Doors open at 11:15 pm. The film is rated R and no one younger than 17 will be admitted. The Bijou Theatre is located at 1624 NE Hwy 101 in Lincoln City. For more information, go to cinemalovers.com.
