Coastal artists set sale

Impress friends and family this holiday season with a gift created by some of the best visual and functional artists currently creating on the Central Oregon Coast.

The Holiday Art Sale at the Lincoln City Cultural Center on Sunday, Nov. 21, will feature five local artists selling a wide variety of items.

Joanne Daschel, a mosaic artist, makes stunning nightlights, mirrors, wall art and window art.

Nora Sherwood, a science illustrator and nature artist whose work has appeared in books, advertising campaigns and many gallery shows, will have cards, mugs, calendars, stickers, prints and framed original illustrations.

Oil painter Katia Kyte will have original landscape and still life paintings, while mixed-media painter Maria Sund will have original paintings, handmade cards and assemblages.

Sam Jacobson, a ceramic artist, will have teapots, vases, bowls, platters and small sculptures.

The sale will run from 11 am to 3 pm in the Yoga and Mosaic Studios on the main floor of the Lincoln City Cultural Center, located at 540 NE Hwy. 101. For more information, go to lincolncity-culturalcenter.org.
